Echelon Row-S (substituted for NordicTrack RW900): What to Know

We searched Amazon directly for "NordicTrack RW900" and every real product result was an accessory referencing the machine by name rather than the machine itself, its dust cover, its AC power adapter, aftermarket screen protectors for its console. That matches what several hands-on reviewers note: NordicTrack steers buyers to purchase the RW900 directly through its own site, where financing and NordicTrack's own warranty and return terms apply, rather than through Amazon. Since we won't point you at a dead end, we substituted the Echelon Row-S, which sits in a similar category, large rotating touchscreen, magnetic resistance, membership-based class library, and does have a complete, verified Amazon listing with working product photography.

The Row-S uses magnetic resistance with 32 adjustable levels, controlled via Bluetooth dials built directly into the handlebar so you can change intensity mid-stroke without pausing or reaching for the console. Echelon states it engages 85%+ of your muscles per stroke. The 22-inch screen rotates so you can also use it for off-rower content, HIIT, cycling, Pilates, and includes a built-in soundbar.

Echelon's membership costs about $39.99/month (or roughly $399.99/year) after the bundled 30-day free trial, and one membership covers up to five user profiles on the same account, a genuine advantage for a household splitting the cost across multiple people, versus single-user pricing on some competitors. Echelon states a 300-lb weight limit and listed dimensions of 81"L x 24"W x 48"H; unlike the Hydrow Origin or WaterRower, the Row-S is designed to fold and roll on built-in wheels for storage, which is a meaningfully smaller footprint claim to fact-check in person if floor space is tight.

As with any screen-based rower, treat the membership as a real, ongoing line item rather than an optional add-on, the value proposition of the large touchscreen and soundbar largely depends on having an active subscription to feed it content.
