Amazfit Band 7: What to Know

The Band 7 dates back to 2022, and it's worth being upfront that Amazfit's parent company, Zepp Health, hasn't released a direct 'Band 8' successor in the years since; the company has instead shifted its budget-to-midrange focus toward the Active and Bip series. That makes the Band 7 something of a legacy product, but it's still being sold new (not just as a renewed/refurbished unit) directly through Amazfit's own US store and on Amazon, and it remains the current entry in Amazfit's numbered Band line, so we're keeping it in this guide as a genuinely available budget option rather than treating it as discontinued.

Specs hold up reasonably well for the price: a 1.47-inch AMOLED display, 24-hour heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, sleep-stage and stress tracking, and 120 sports modes. Amazfit's own marketing and the Amazon listing both cite up to 18 days of battery life, among the longest of any tracker in this roundup, though as with any manufacturer battery claim, real-world results will vary with how much you use the always-on display and continuous heart-rate sensor. Water resistance is rated at 5 ATM, and it has Amazon Alexa built directly into the band, letting you ask basic questions or set reminders without pulling out your phone.

Like the Garmin and Samsung options here, the Band 7 has no built-in GPS chip and relies on connected GPS through your phone during outdoor workouts. There's no required subscription: it pairs with the free Zepp app, which includes a basic tier of Zepp Aura wellness coaching (guided meditation, sleep music, one free daily AI check-in) at no cost, with an optional paid Zepp Aura Premium tier for unlimited access to deeper sleep and coaching content, entirely opt-in rather than required to use the band's core tracking.
